When I decided to step back into Young Living full-time, I thought the missing piece was just more knowledge or better tools. So I dove in. I took trainings, attended workshops, and surrounded myself with resources that would help me grow.

But as I journaled and reflected, I realized the truth: what was really missing was my confidence.

Not the confidence I already had in business, or in other areas of my life. This was different. This was about the confidence to tell my story, to be vulnerable, and to show up fully as myself. That kind of confidence requires something deeper — a willingness to peel back the layers and look at the root cause.

And when I did, I found it.




The Root Cause


We are all born as pure love, joy, happiness, and abundance. When we come into this world, people light up around us. They nurture us, celebrate us, and see nothing but possibility.

But as we grow, the world begins to shape us. Culture, society, parents, teachers — even with the best intentions — imprint us with fear. We’re told to be careful, to play small, to avoid risk. Little by little, the pure confidence we were born with gets buried under layers of doubt, fear, and self-protection.

That’s what was holding me back.




The Decision to Step Forward


When I finally saw it for what it was, I knew I couldn’t stay stuck. I made the decision to challenge myself every day to step outside of my comfort zone. To do the things that scare me a little. To share my story, even when my voice shakes.

Because I know that the only way forward is through.

This is why I started Roots to Wellness — to create a space for unlearning the fear, for remembering who we truly are, and for stepping into our power with grace.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about progress. It’s about planting seeds of confidence, love, and wellness — and allowing them to grow.

“What’s the root cause of what’s holding me back right now? And what would it look like to take one small step forward anyway?”

Write it down. Be honest. The awareness is the first step toward change.
